After more than three decaces of teaching art at degree level at North Adelaide School of Art and more recently at Adelaide College of the Arts, I now have more time to flex my own cretive muscles. I have returned to landscape painting as seen in the recent works shown on this site. \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\nMy work follows the realist tradition but is firmly based on the absract principles of design. The visual elements line, shape size, texture and colour are fundamental considerations is my art making. A thorough understanding and knowledge of these elements and their relationships allows me to adapt my ideas and imagery to suit my desired outcomes. \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\nMy artistic style is a planned and layered approach. I take into account the unique characteristic of each medium, give reference to the subject matter at hand and even more importantly the overall presence, feel and build up of my paintings. \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\nI will gladly accept commision work of a figurative nature, landscape or still life. |
