ARTIST BIO

I have been painting in water colour for approximately 30 years with the majority of that time living and promoting/exhibiting my art work in Victoria.   During those years I exhibited in many Rotary Club Exhibitions including Victor Harbor Rotary, and belonged to several art groups.   I also had work in Stonecrop Fine Art Gallery near Violet Town  where I sold numerous pieces to their clientele, met with well known artists and gained more knowledge.

My involvement with the Porcelain Art Group in Victoria (APAT(Vic)Inc., where I became secretary/committee member for many years also gave me the opportunity to gain organisational skills which I have put into practise at The Corner Uniting Church here in Warradale, where I not only teach water colour painting, but present exhibitions and displays.   This has been a very rewarding experience and I have met and had many quality top artists present their art at this venue plus help raise funds for many needy causes.

My first love is painting floral work, but I have gained confidence in landscapes and sold quite a few, seascapes and animals.   Over the last few years I have also ventured into acrylics and recently sold a more modern style painting.  So I am still evolving in my art and love it.

On a more personal level I am married to Neil and we have 6 children and 9 grandchildren.   After 2 years in London, 24 years in Victoria we moved back to Adelaide in 2004 where we live happily at Somerton Park.   I joined the Marion Art Group in 2005, was Secretary for 5 years and am now on the Exhibition Committee, so always plenty to do.

My involvement with the Rotary Club of Victor Harbor has been long and rewarding and I wish the Committee all the best in its endeavours.
