Hi and wellcome to my world of art. Living in the Riverland region of SA my main body of work depcits the harsh enviornments of the Australian bush in a semi surreal/abstract styles using oil paint. I also enjoy working with new or recycled timbers to create my own picture frames, in order to best match the paintings.
My other styles / subject matter range from military, traditional landscape and surreal / abstract paintings of what it is like to like to live with a disability.
I live with a rare eye condition (Karyotyping Peripheral Lukocytes) where my left eye is missing the sentral field of vission with part of the retina in the lower half of the eye is missing and is constantly having to move for a better field of vission. But there is more, my right eye never developed and is covered with an artifical eye. Lucky I was born with this.
I like to think my work is a way in which to teach and help others to focus on what we can do and a person living with a disability can create work of a high standard equal to main stream society. |
