My work explores the relationship between Fauves, octopi, pirates, Van Gogh and meditation

I try to paint the world as a transcendent illusion based on the shamans path. I love painting it’s a meditation in colour which sometimes produces moments of vision which open the doors of perception.

Movies are a major influence in the surrealism of the imagination which they can display in vivd colour . but the challenge of a square two dimensional space is also a means of focusing our energy into making a quantum wormhole into another dimension

Art is about the strategic use of power in practices of kindness . I want to paint as Winnie the Pooh would paint as a meditation on the wave riding the surfer  or the ocean dreaming of a wild untamed beach

I have come to art later in life after trying many thing  rather like my attempts at surfing . I love the ocean love thunder waves storms  but I don’t think I will ever conquer Jaws  maybe I just enjoy boogieing too much  the ocean to me represents pleasure light green blue life passion excitement

Art to me is like scuba diving in the ocean  its another world a different experience.  it is watching the bubbles of oxegen rising to the glistening surface. My art has no objective or goal it’s a attempt to speak the language of transcendence and the otherness of spirituality.

Thank you

William
