ARTIST NOTES: 'The Catch'... Nanoguy fish are the catch of the day...two views of the catch overlap...one features the esky where a Nanoguy's huge head protrudes..it is transversed by a thin band of Nanoguy bodies awaiting filleting...
Textured fish scales contrast with the smooth white surface of the esky surface.
The dark background provides a striking contrast to the dominant reds and oranges of the fish scales.

ARTIST BIO

Susan Longbottom: Born 18/247 Freeling SA

Trained at Western  Teachers College & SA School of Art  and graduated as a secondary art teacher in 1968

Taught primary and secondary art for 30 years.

Retired from teaching in 2002.

Began painting own artworks and have won numerous awards in local SA art exhibitions.

Mediums: Paint on canvas in both Acrylics  and Oils.

Genre: Portraiture, still life and landscape.
